Open Law started in 2012 with a simple idea: legal advice should be clear, compassionate and easy to access.
Founded by Lisa Rowell in Huddersfield, our firm has grown to a close-knit team of 30+ people looking to offer the best legal advice and truly help you from our Slaithwaite and Honley offices. Since the very start, our values have been the centre of the firm: they shape every conversation, every piece of advice and every decision we make.

Rooted in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, our offices are bustling parts of their villages and give us a strong link to our community. Whilst being a proud Yorkshire-based firm, we do operate nationally for all kinds of clients. As long as we can post documents to you, then we can be instructed by you.
Giving back to our community is an integral part of our values as a firm. We’re proud to support multiple charities: Yorkshire Air Ambulance, Will Aid, Guide Dogs Trust, Forget Me Not Hospice, The Kirkwood Hospice, The Welcome Centre and more. We are also proud to support a number of local sports clubs with sponsorship. Some examples of these are: Underbank Rugby Club, Holmfirth Cricket Club, Golcar United Football.
